Debbie has always been fascinated by anything out of the ordinary, and of course loving all things science fiction and fantasy; especially anything to do with the notion of an afterlife, or other possibilities that suggest this material world isn’t all it seems and especially not all there is. Anything that involves magical powers, gifts, abilities and time travel, especially when this occurs in an urban setting, is her thing.
As well as being spiritually minded, she has a great respect for science and quantum physics, which is why she tries to seek ways in which the two can reconcile or at least not contradict each other, which reflects in her novels as well as her personal life as Debbie is also the author of spiritual development books under the pen name “Rinzen Joye”.
The idea that our bodies are avatars playing an experiential reality game is something she likes to ponder outside of her fantasy but in ways quantum physics are theorising.
Her aim is for both authors to bring thought provoking concepts and a much needed spiritual sense to the planet based in logic and reason. Rinzen has her masters in Reiki healing, and her own spiritual practice and beliefs which she classes as a resonating faith.
